Over the next couple days I would like to do a sort of “blog series” about some of my favorite places & things from the places I have lived the longest. (Being Richmond, Greenville & Denver) The hardest to do will be Denver I think….since I’ve only lived here 8 months…but I’ll try. :) Hopefully if you live in one of these areas it will give you some ideas or some incentive to visit if you don’t live nearby.
Mostly I just keep thinking of things I want to do but can’t since I feel sick so much of the time.
Anyway I hope you enjoy it! The first post will start with where I lived the longest: Richmond.
NOTE: I do NOT claim to know everything about these places by ANY means, but I do enjoy reliving some of my memories and sharing some of my favorite places with you.
I’ve gotten so behind on posting, but I think moving all of your earthly belongings to a new dwelling place is a good excuse. Oh yeah & being pregnant and super tired. ;)
We are in the process of setting everything up, so there is a whole corner that is filled with boxes and stuff…
but we have made a little progress….
Much more to go, but with P working and me getting exhausted from putting the dishes away, it takes forever.
I’m not sure if my little schedule is going to stick because I have an idea for a short post series I really want to do. *sigh* We’ll see. Thanks for reading!! :o)
Wow. We have been married for a little over 7 months, and we adopted a cat, are moving to a new/bigger apartment and have a little one on the way. Never did I ever think so many things would happen in such a short period of time!
Theres nothing like new & overwhelming responsibilities to show you how little you know. I’m just so thankful that my husband is so open-minded & loving. I would seriously lose my mind without him.
This week we are moving to our new apartment (Wednesday-Friday) and I am in over my head with all the packing and stuff. I have also been really sick this weekend and still am not feeling up to moving around much and don’t feel like eating much. Hopefully today I can make some progress so that we can actually find stuff in our new apartment at the end of the week. :)
I have some ideas I want to use in the new apartment:
– paint the wall behind our bed to make up for lack of a headboard
– paint the side table with chalkboard paint & use the cool green bucket I got on clearance at Michaels for knitting or books
– make that throw pillow I have all the materials for but have been putting off
We shall see if these come to pass….
Anyway, I will try to get some pictures of the move & new apartment to show you. Thanks for reading!
Come you broken, bound by sin,
And let your weary journey end.
Come and lay your burdens down
Where mercy rules and peace abounds.
What depth of love, what reach of grace!
Oh, how my grateful heart now aches
To sing it louder, the refrain;
Jesus died, my soul to save!
Jesus died, my soul to save.
“I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.”
The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines theology as: “the study of religious faith, practice, and experience; especially : the study of God and of God’s relation to the world”
I stated before that I want this to be a discussion. Also, if I ask a question or make a statement it is not because I do not have a strong opinion/belief on it, but rather I would like to hear the thoughts of friends & strangers who also enjoy thinking about these things and from whom I would not get to talk to due to distance.
On this first Thursday, would you please be so kind as to tip me off about the topics YOU would like to discuss or see discussed.
Hopefully this will work, but it largely depends on participation….so we will give it a try!! :)
